District Portrait:
Nordend (population 52.000) is a city center district located mainly north of the down town area. It is located between the Eschersheimer Landstrasse in the west, the Sandweg in the east and the Nibelung- and Miquelallee in the north. This district has many beautiful historical buildings, an excellent infrastructure and many possibilities to go out and is therefore one of the preferred residential areas of Frankfurt. The Berger Strasse and the Oeder Weg are both main shopping streets which cross through this district. Around the Berger Strasse you will find many popular and trendy bars, pretty cafés and a rich variety of restaurants, many of which have outside seating and a Mediterranean flair.
