Bockenheim (population 41.000) is located 2 kilometers northwest of the city center. As a former laborer, craftsmen and student neighborhood it has kept its friendly character. The main shopping street, the Leipziger Strasse, provides many shops, cafés and restaurants as well as quick public transportation to the city center with the U6 and U7 (underground trains).
