District Portrait:

Bornheim (population 30.000) is located 2-3 kilometers northeast of the city center. Bornheim is mainly populated by old-established residents of Frankfurt, as well as newcomers and students. The Berger Strasse leads down to the city center and is the main shopping street in Bornheim with many shops, cafés/bars and restaurants. In the northern part of this district you will find many half-timbered houses as well as individual large apartment buildings. In the western part the Günthersburgpark is located, which is well-liked by families and people seeking a quiet place to relax. The U4 (underground train) offers quick public transportation to the city center within approximately 10 minutes.
